Tokyo Olympics: PV Sindhu gets bronze

v PV Sindhu created history by winning the bronze medal match against China’s He Bing Jiao at the Tokyo Olympics. Sindhu became only the second Indian athlete after wrestler Sushil Kumar — and the first woman from the country — to win two individual Olympic medals, defeating China’s He Bingjiao 21-13, 21-15 to win the bronze medal at the Tokyo Games.

v Sindhu is also only the 4th women’s singles player to win back-to-back medals at the Olympic Games. Previously, Sindhu lost to Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-Ying in the semi-finals.
