Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Vacancy 2017:

Educational Qualification:

1. Deputy Controller of Explosives -Degree in Chemical Engineering / Technology from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Scientific Officer (Electrical) -Master’s Degree in Physics or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Degree in Electronics andTelecommunication Engineering from a recognised University or Institute and
3. Junior Technical Officer -Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Telecommunication / Civil / Marine / Naval Architecture / Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. “Interpretation of “Equivalent” here means any Technical Institutions recognized by AICTE/UGC and not to be considered as educational qualification”
4. Specialist Grade III (Cardiology) -A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
5. Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor (ENT) -A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
6. Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor (Preventive and Social Medicine) – A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956)
7. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Psychiatry) -A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956)
8. Deputy Director (Safety) (Electrical) -Degree in Electrical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent
9. Deputy Director (Safety) (Mechanical) -Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
10. Sub-Regional Employment Officer -Masters Degree in Social Welfare or Labour Welfare or Social Work or Sociology or Economics or Statistics or Psychology or Commerce or Education of a recognized university or equivalent.
11. Assistant Controller of Mines -Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution or passed Section (A) (B) of the Institution of Engineers (India) examinations i.e. Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in Mining Engineering.
12. Assistant Director (Physical Education) -Master’s Degree in Physical Education with 55% marks OR Master’s Degree in Sports Science with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record. 2) Record of having represented the University/ College at the Inter-University/ Inter-College competitions or the State and/ or National Championships. 3) Passed in the National Eligibility Test (NET) OR SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment as University Assistant Director of Physical Education/ College Director of Physical Education and Sports. 4) Passed thephysical fitness test conducted in accordance with the norms specified under Note. 3.

Age Limit: (As on 02.11.2017)

Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed 35 Years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
